PechaKucha Night is an entertainment event held several times a year in downtown Orlando. We feature an hour of mingling and socializing, followed by an hour of PowerPoint presentations on a variety of topics, led by some of the most interesting people in the city. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for "chitchat," PechaKucha rests on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It's a format that makes the presentations concise and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.
Talking Pictures: At PechaKucha Orlando v15, we'll be celebrating the movies with presentations about every aspect of film -- from storytelling and screenplays to the voyeurism and sexism that are so much a part of the cinemagoing experience, as well as real-life stories of film production here in Florida.
